What I Learned:
This project sharpened my understanding of player psychology in endless runners — especially the balance between "fair challenge" and "pressure." It also pushed me to refine my technical designer skills, from tweaking Unity physics for smooth lane transitions to setting up intuitive touch input.

My Contributions:

  • Gameplay Design: Crafted the core loop to maintain player engagement through escalating speed and increasing obstacle variety.

  • Level & Obstacle Design: Designed dynamically spawning obstacles and lane-switch mechanics to enhance replayability.

  • Enemy Design: Developed the "fog" as a persistent, ambient threat rather than a traditional enemy, creating tension and a unique pacing element.

  • Technical Implementation:

    • Used Unity’s prefab and object pooling systems to optimize performance for mobile platforms.

    • Implemented simple yet responsive player controls optimized for touch screens.

    • Designed fog movement logic to balance difficulty and player progression.
